The 1970 Lincoln Railsplitters were led by legendary IBCA Hall of Fame Coach Duncan Reid. Three year varsity starters Seymour Reed, who later went on to star at Bradley University, Billy Hoagland and Mark Humbert provided a nucleus of players that would propel the Railsplitters to a 26-0 regular season record. Along the way, they would win the Lincoln Thanksgiving Tournament, the Pekin Holiday Tournament, and the Big 12 Conference. Winners of the Regional and Sectional, their 30 game un-beaten streak came to an end in front of a capacity crowd at the Bradley Super-Sectional in Peoria |
